Zero Waste Bamboo Toothbrush

£3.99

Zero Waste Bamboo Toothbrush is the perfect environmentally friendly toothbrush. The handle is biodegradable and the bristles are recyclable (We are in the process of rolling out a scheme to send us the bristles back for proper recycling). The handles are handcrafted, thus each toothbrush is slightly unique. So no two toothbrushes are the same.

  • Handle made of 100% biodegradable and sustainable bamboo

  • Bristles are medium, but get softer with repeated use

*Please note that a quantity of 1 represents a single Bamboo Toothbrush.

We would also like to draw attention to a mistake on the packaging saying that we will plant a tree if you Instagram, but we plant a tree regardless whether a customer posts on Instagram or not!

Why we made this bamboo toothbrush and why swap?

Billions of plastic toothbrushes are thrown away every single year! They are difficult to recycle because of different types of plastics and rubbers being stuck together. So nearly all plastic toothbrushes ends up in landfills, incineration or in our natural environment.

So we created these bamboo toothbrushes. Handle is made of 100% biodegradable and sustainable mao bamboo. Which is super sustainable and grows over 90 cm on some day! The bristles are made of nylon that is BPA and toxic free, which can send back to us to be recycled.

Bamboo toothbrushes care and end of life

Whilst bamboo has natural antibacterial properties, it's not impenetrable like plastic, but if you help it to dry properly it'll last just as long as your old plastic toothbrush.

Once you've finished brushing your teeth, simply give it a quick rub with your towel then set it somewhere to dry. Lying on a flat surface is just fine as long as the water can drain away, but we recommend not to use a cup - any drips will collect in the bottom of the cup and build up every day, which is a little bit gross and won't do your brush any good over the weeks or months.

Maker Story

My name is Xiao Li Lin, I am 36 years old, I have been working with the company for 8 years. I have found well paying, consistent and satisfying work through this job.

I live in Nanping County with my family and my hobbies are dancing and shopping. Nearly every evening after I finish work, I go to practice dancing.  It brings me a lot of joy and also keeps me healthy,

I’m one of the people who is responsible for making bamboo toothbrushes. I polish the bamboo and make it super smooth. Then also ensure the bristles are in properly. I hope you love the toothbrush as much as I do.
