Normal sponges are made from polyester and nylon which are both plastics and not recyclable at end of life. Small pieces fall off on almost every wash, washing straight down our drains int our water systems. These microplastics states in the ocean forever, either being digest by marine life or being drank by humans. Microplastics are already in our water system, lets stop this madness.
